A CABLE DUMP THAT ADDS TO OFFICE SAFETY

To keep office floors tidy and safe, Ackermann has introduced an innovative optional accessory for use with its Rapide Extra floor boxes. It is a cable dump that enables excess cabling provided for possible future desk connections to be stored safely away within the floor box rather lying on the floor.

The cable dump is designed for use with triple module boxes. All Rapide Extra floor boxes are of the same size and can take up to four power and data socket modules. They are supplied off the shelf with either four modules or three modules with a space for a fourth to be inserted at a later date. While not in use, this space is covered by an easy to remove moulded expansion plate.

Ackermann offers the cable dump as an alternative to the expansion plate. It is a wire meshed flexible container that fits into the fourth module position neatly and easily. By storing the cable in this, the office floor is made tidier and the potential for people tripping over cable is greatly reduced.
